Synopsis

After an earthquake, a man finds his loved ones’ bodies under his home’s rubble. Shocked, he starts to travel without a destination, until he finds himself getting drunk at a highway gas station. There, someone identifies him as a man who had disappeared several years before. The identity swap causes a series of unforeseeable events which, on the one hand, redeem the man’s spirits through a new love; on the other, uncover the trauma of a terrible family tragedy.

ABOUT THE Author:

Mimosa Campironi (1986) studied piano at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan and acting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. She divides her work between music, theater, and cinema.

As a musician, she received several awards and recognitions, including the Premio della Critica a Musicultura, the Premio SIAE Miglior Musica, and a nomination for Best New Generation Artist at the MTV Awards.

In Campidoglio she received the Oscar dei Giovani for her work as a transversal and feminist artist.  

Her acting career has seen many important collaborations in theater and cinema.

Bedridden by a serious health problem, in 2018 she began to deepen her studies in playwrighting and wrote Hikikomori; il mondo visto da una stanza through which she experiments with the link between prose and music. In September 2019 she made her world premiere at the Biennale of Music in Venice with her first lyric opera Trashmedy, which was born from her concept of ​​dramaturgy and produced in collaboration with stage director Andrea De Rosa. In 2020, she composed the words and music for Madame Tosca, a mélologue interpreted by actress Laura Morante and commissioned by the Macerata Opera Festival.
